Motors and Drives 

Converteam manufactures high power induction and synchronous motors to meet the exacting requirements of rolling mills applications (eg. rolling mills): robustness, low inertia, overloads and reversal times. These high torque density motors benefit from patented technology.

AC Drives

Converteam manufactures a wide range of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage AC drives. The MV7000 Medium Voltage drives provide high performance control for the main actuators (eg. rolling mills). This new technology of drives, based on the use of modern IEGT devices, gives high performance steady state speed and torque holding, in addition to high dynamic response to impacts and tail-outs.

In addition to advanced control algorithms, Converteam Power Electronics Controllers contain powerful diagnostic tools, accessible both locally to the drive and remotely, to enable ease of maintenance.

For low voltages, Converteam offers the LV7000 product drive range, which covers needs from 0.75kW up to 3.6MW featuring state-of-the-art technology.

 DC Drives

Converteam also offers a complete range of DC drives, mainly for revamping projects where customers want to keep existing DC motors or power stacks.
For lower powers, the product drive range proposed by Converteam addresses needs from 9kW up to 1.25MW. The fully digital control can be configured in a very user friendly manner.
For higher powers or specific applications, Converteam offers the PECe range featuring very innovative modular technology based on Ethercat fast link between controllers, interface boards and I/Os.
All necessary controls, sequencing, protection and auxiliary functions are covered. User interfaces for monitoring and communication systems to main standard networks are also available.
