Converteam’s experience in SFC dates back to the first development of the Load Commutated Inverter (LCI) in 1940 by AEG. For Gas Turbine application we provide a standardized range of air-cooled units of 1.9MW/ 2.9MW/ 4MW/ 5MW and 15.5MW. The SFC features high reliability, flexible application and low maintenance effort.
In applications with several generators a cross-over logic is available to start up several generators with one SFC. For more powerful Hydro applications up to 40MW we provide tailor-made solutions based on the water-cooled power stacks.
More than 500 units are in operation worldwide.
