Naval Dynamic Positioning (DP) Systems

Our C-Series Dynamic Positioning (DP) system has been developed for Merchant Marine but it can be adapted for Naval applications such as diving support ships and mine counter-measure vessels, where station keeping and precise track following are operational requirements.

Dynamic Positioning enables a vessel to maintain heading and station by use of propulsors to counteract the effects of displacing forces such as wind, current and wave action. This method of station keeping and manoeuvring, allows the system to control very complex operations safely and efficiently. Today’s integrated Dynamic Positioning solutions can provide manual lever control, combined joystick control, fixed and tracking control and now form a major part of the integrated bridge solution.
