Converteam has been selected to supply its leading power train solution to China’s Envision Energy for its latest 3.6MW offshore wind turbine known as GC-1.

Converteam has taken a big step forward in the wind industry in India by securing a contract from RK Wind to supply 230 full power wind turbine converters.
Converteam supplied its 1000th Prowind converter to REpower. For almost ten years, Converteam has been supporting REpower Systems AG by supplying power electronics, which feed electrical energy onto grid, ensuring the reliable delivery of the power generated by the REpower's wind turbines.

Global leader in power generation equipment and services, Alstom, and power conversion specialist, Converteam, are collaborating on the world’s largest direct drive permanent magnet generator (PMG) for a wind turbine. As a first step Converteam will equip Alstom’s two 6 MW offshore wind turbine prototypes that will be installed onshore and offshore in Europe during winter 2011 and in 2012.
Power conversion specialist Converteam announced that it has been awarded a £328,000 grant from Scottish Enterprise to contribute towards the development of key elements of game changing technologies for offshore wind farms.
