Converteam provides both low and medium voltage converters for Doubly Fed and Fully Fed configurations:
Doubly Fed Converters (ProWind)
- They incorporate an extended GFRT (Grid Fault Ride Through) function to answer the most stringent grid code requirements
- air or water cooling
- heating equipment included to meet extreme climate conditions (-40°C)
- power range from 0.5 to 5MW and higher
- attractive power density - Up to 2MVA power electronics contained in a 600mm wide cubicle and standard height.
LV Fully Fed Converters (MV3000)
These converters answer the requirements of the new generation of turbines that require full power conversion; this solution uses a unique technology for power and Var control, patented by Converteam, which can be used in any country in the world.

MV7000 Converters
The MV7000 converters are well-suited for high power offshore turbines, requiring Medium Voltage (generally above 3 - 8MW) and higher should this be required.
