- Principle: prolonged operating life of wells by increasing pressure
- Process: drive a compressor using an electric motor to re-inject gas at high pressure back into the oilfield to maintain reservoir production
- Our solution is adapted to compressor manufacturer’s requirements:
- high speed solution with induction motors
- traditional solution with gearbox
- Our technology:
| Motors | Variable Speed Drive System |
| Induction motors | PWM (MV7000) |
| Synchronous motors | LCI (SD7000) and PWM (MV7000) |
- Customer benefits:
- very good efficiency, environment-friendly
- the efficiency for a system based on synchronous motors connected to gearbox, is approximately 91% at rated load, or 93% without gearbox (network power in to shaft power out)
- the efficiency for a system based on high speed induction motors, is approximately 92% at rated load (network power in to shaft power out)
- unlike other driver types such as gas turbines or fixed speed motors with hydraulic couplings, there is very little fall-off in efficiency at part load
- unlike gas turbines, no carbon emissions are produced on site, and unlike fixed speed motors with fluid couplings, direct-on-line starting of large motors is eliminated due to the inbuilt “soft-start” facility of Variable Speed Drive Systems
- low CAPEX and OPEX costs
- compared to gas turbine, the equipment runs at its optimum operating points then it uses less energy,
- no environmental tax,
- production hours increased due to extended maintenance intervals
- very good efficiency, environment-friendly
