With more than 22GW of wind converters supplied, Converteam is the global leader in the wind converter industry. Half of these converters are Doubly Fed, half of them are Full Power.
Wind Generators
Converteam has been a specialist of electrical machines for more than 100 years. We have been producing wind generators for almost 10 years, starting with DFIG. We have since then been one of the technology leaders in the more innovative generators, with the first Medium Speed Permanent Magnet Generator in 2003 and the first High Power (rated 3.7MW) Direct-Drive Permanent Magnet Generator in operation since 2008. Many other generators have been delivered since, or are in construction at the moment, from standard speed PMGs to Direct Drive.
