The High-Performance Controller system is a freely programmable, modular multi-processor system with a real-time multi-tasking operating system. It features modular hardware and software and is used in particular for the fast information processing of time-critical tasks in drive applications, process control and related areas. The C80-HPCi is also the core of our low and medium voltage drives family.
A family of software tools complements the C80-HPCi. These software solutions provide system support at all stages –from initial design and programming, through installation and start-up on site, to long-term support during operation. The family includes powerful add-on tools for monitoring, diagnostics and analysis, and also provides remote service support.
The C80-HPCi accommodates all the components of an automation controller into a single coherent unit:
- An insulated enclosure as the base for installation in industrial environments, very powerful CPUs
- A high-performance operating system, communication networks, industrial inputs and outputs.
The C80-HPCI controller is based on recognized industrial standards such as VMEbus, VxWorks®, Ethernet TCP/IP, and integrates the necessary flexibility to adapt to the future evolution of key industry standards such as Internet and XML, OLE/OPC, Hypertext, etc, Intel PC-based systems, Windows platform.
