The power converter cabinets are suitable for the installation of thyristor power converter circuits in three-phase bridges for one, two and four-quadrant operation. They are equipped with power converter inserts for disk thyristors and designed for reinforced air cooling. The designation PAxxx is an abbreviation for Powersemi Air cooled, equipped with line thyristors with a system diameter of xxx mm. The power converters are installed without the information-processing component (control; closed-loop control). The power converter cabinets meet the requirements of both the latest state-of-the-art and the operators of large industrial plants with regard to safety, service and availability. The installation concept meets the diverse demands placed on the power converter with regard to large driving powers. With the PAxx, diverse power converter circuits can be installed. By placing the cabinet racks in a row and connecting their power components in parallel, the power produced by the power converters can be adapted to the system requirements. The power converter cabinets are designed for alternating and direct conversion and for parallel connections as required. When connecting power converter cabinets, the alternating current connection is produced via an individual cable, which is directly connected to the power converter insert in the cabinet.
