These ships require high performance power & propulsion equipment to meet the specified requirements for availbility, speed, shock, electromagnetic and acoustic signatures. The equipment may be derived from the naval equipment developed for frigates and destroyers or the commercial marketplace. Extensive militarized automation systems are necessary.
Converteam has also developed an electromagnetic catapult which could be scaled up to suit a full size aircraft on a modern carrier.
