Converteam has previously supplied DC electric motors for a range of diesel electric submarines, the most recent being the Royal Navy's T2400 submarines now operated by the Canadian Navy. Converteam is also expert in standalone power conversion equipment which could be used for the powering of auxiliary machinery in nuclear powered submarines.
