Converteam manufactures high power induction (up to 25MW) and synchronous motors (up to 50MW) to meet the exact requirements of metals applications: robustness, low inertia, overloads and reversal times. These high torque density motors benefit from patented technology.
In addition, we also manufacture a wide range of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage AC variable speed drives:
- The new technology of MV7000 Medium Voltage Drives is based on the use of modern IGBT devices. It gives high performance steady state speed and torque holding, in addition to high dynamic response.
- For low voltages, Converteam offers the LV7000 product drive range, which covers needs from 0.75kW up to 3.6MW.
- Converteam has developed a DC common bus system from which all AC drives are fed from a single common DC source.
Furthermore, Converteam offers a complete range of DC drives for low and high powers, mainly for revamping projects on customer’s request.
For high power drives, Converteam supplies the PECe controllers (belonging to the same family as the C80-HPCi) featuring very innovative modular technology based on Ethercat fast link between controllers, interface boards and I/Os.
